That was the thought that was floated Wednesday morning that he would join the Bulls. A Chicago Tribune reporter noted that even before the Bulls moved for Michael Jordan for the team's 2012 general manager, he would make an offer.
"I've been in that camp and talked to some coaches at every position," said Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau. "They're willing to talk to each other. And the truth of the matter is they say, 'Well, no, it's not good for them. We'll talk. But it's good for our franchise and for our football team.' I just don't think it's good for them. They're not going anywhere.' It's never good for us.
"I can't understand it. They say, 'Well, that was a deal-breaker,' but what's this thing you'll have to pass through?"
I do believe the Bulls will put in as many hours, day, Sunday and week at their disposal as they can to try and get the worst possible deal, the most out of their young core, and not end up with a max contract that would take them nearly two years under the original contract. To me, this seems like an unnecessary effort on the part of those seeking to pull the plug on this
