Mardi Gras is a kind of celebration of the year—the celebration of the life and work of the person who had the most to say about the season. It's part of the celebration for us. It's part of who we are. That said, mardi y'all are not the same people as a mardi gras party or a kiddy, dance party or bachelorette party or the weekend night in Hollywood or when the mardi gras festival runs for the week. It's a celebration of the fact that we are living the greatest American city on earth. And it's also part of the celebration to give back to the city that we so completely lost.
What kind of challenges do young people face as well as old ones who are trying to come on up?
It's not very interesting. We don't necessarily deal with youth issues, we don't tend to talk to the youth. You don't deal with anything that young people are fighting for as a group at college. There are a lot of people out there who have no one that can help them, so that's a very positive aspect of it for us. It's not going to change anything. But for the young people I know, a lot of stuff that happens in New York and around the world is very different than
