Why is Mardi Gras a bad idea?
Some say, "Well, there's bad apples because they're out to get me and their minions. But mardi gras is good." But I say, no, it's bad. But we can't lose our mardi gras – or, we should say, our country, because it's going to get worse before our eyes. And that's fine because we love it. Because it's our time. But it doesn't mean we just stop talking about it. It means we move to another state. It means we think, "If it's OK for every one of us in this country to dress up as a dog, what if it's okay for people who don't wear sombreros or a turban to dance that way?" Because we have good reason to believe that.
Some other point that I find very distasteful. I mean, I think there have been a couple of occasions that you don't want to see, but when people dress up, you really don't want your children to be afraid in public. And people should feel safe. People can do this.
