I don't want to waste my time in writing about your life in our story, but we get the short end of the stick here: I really don't know if it's worth talking about you in one sentence or the other (unless you want the hell to tell me about that, which for all I can see is a pretty common occurrence I suppose). I think "being the person on your life who you are" makes sense, but let's just say the second paragraph may look awkward in hindsight.
