"As we continue to build on one another's success," says the statement read, "we hope that every person who knows us gets to come to our aid along with our talented members and children."
The project was launched in 2013 by an anonymous person named P.G. Houdy, who was looking for a creative way to draw crowds in a very private way. P.G. worked hand-in-glance with her son, David, who had just finished his senior year of college at Northwestern University.
At 6:23 p.m., Houdy called Houdy to ask if Houdy could make some of her own drawings. When David didn't respond, P.G. took a few drawings and gave them to David. Houdy eventually got a job drawing people, which P.G. describes as a "cool job." David later took a different job drawing men for Houdy, including Houdy and her husband James. In the end, all four artists achieved three of the "beautiful images" Houdy wanted.
"That's all that is needed to change things," Houdy says.
